Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates whether linkUp/linkDown traps should be generated for this interface.

By default, this object should have the value enabled(1) for interfaces which do not operate on 'top' of any other interface (as defined in the ifStackTable), and disabled(2) otherwise.

What is raisecomRemotePortLinkUpDownTrapEnable?

Controls whether the remote device generates linkUp/linkDown SNMP traps for this interface. An admin typically leaves this enabled(1) on customer-facing ports so link flaps get reported, and may disable(2) it on sub-interfaces stacked over another interface to cut down on redundant trap noise.
