rcRelayShutdownThreshold

Module: RAISECOM-RELAY-MIB

OID (symbolic): RAISECOM-RELAY-MIB::rcRelayShutdownThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.8886.6.1.35.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The shutdown threshold on an interface for a given protocol. After reaching the shutdown threshold, the interface will shutdown for the given protocol. This value cannot be less than the value of rcRelayDropThreshold. A value of 0 indicates that no limit is set.

What is rcRelayShutdownThreshold?

rcRelayShutdownThreshold sets the rate, in PDUs per second (0 to 4096), at which an interface shuts down entirely for a given tunneled protocol, with 0 meaning no limit and the value required to be at least as high as rcRelayDropThreshold. Admins use this as a stronger protective measure than dropping, taking the interface out of service for that protocol if the flood rate becomes severe enough to be considered abnormal. For example, setting rcRelayShutdownThreshold to 500 PDUs/sec shuts the interface down for that protocol if tunneled traffic sustains a rate above 500/sec, well beyond a lower rcRelayDropThreshold of 100.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RAISECOM-RELAY-MIB::rcRelayShutdownThreshold

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.8886.6.1.35.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RAISECOM-RELAY-MIB::rcRelayShutdownThreshold.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.8886.6.1.35.3.1.3.1 i <value>
