Description: Manages local CLI session parameters and terminal configuration on Marvell switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is RADLAN-rlLcli-MIB?
RADLAN-rlLcli-MIB is a Marvell/RADLAN private enterprise MIB managing local CLI (command-line interface) session behavior on RADLAN-based switches, including idle timeout, command-history settings, and per-command authorization levels. It exposes scalars for CLI session timeout and command-history enable/size, plus a command-level table mapping each CLI command (and applicable context) to a required privilege level, action mode, and insertion time. This is a management-plane configuration/access-control MIB rather than a hardware-health MIB: it verifies CLI session timeouts are set appropriately (a security best practice) and audits which commands have elevated or restricted privilege levels, confirming role-based CLI access control is configured as intended. It has no apparent dependency on other standard MIBs, being a self-contained RADLAN management-access extension. It is typically deployed on RADLAN-based switches where admins enforce CLI session timeouts and command-level authorization for operational security. Engineers can download the RADLAN-rlLcli-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RADLAN-rlLcli-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Marvell/RADLAN-based managed Ethernet switch
- OEM switches licensing the RADLAN software stack
Monitoring Examples
An administrator auditing CLI access controls would check rlLCliTimeout to confirm idle sessions disconnect after the expected period, and rlLcliCommandLevelTable/rlLcliCommandLevelEntry to verify sensitive commands (identified by rlLcliCommandLevelCommandName and rlLcliCommandLevelContextName) are set to the correct rlLcliCommandLevelCommandLevel. rlLCliHistoryEnable and rlLCliHistorySize show whether command history logging is active and how many entries are retained, relevant for post-incident forensics. rlLcliCommandLevelInsertTime helps identify recently added or modified command-level overrides when auditing unexpected privilege changes.
What Can Be Monitored
- CLI session idle timeout
- command history enable/size
- per-command required privilege level
- command-level entry insert time / action mode
