rlTunnelIPv6EndConfig

Module: RADLAN-TUNNEL-MIB

OID (symbolic): RADLAN-TUNNEL-MIB::rlTunnelIPv6EndConfig

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.122.12.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Used to indicate end of snmp configuration for IPv6. Can be removed, if mechanism for indicating end config per mib is added to SNMP.

What is rlTunnelIPv6EndConfig?

This object acts as a marker that an administrator or provisioning script sets to signal that IPv6-related SNMP configuration for a tunnel is finished, since there is no other standard mechanism in this MIB to indicate a batch of related config writes is complete. It's a workaround device, since the description notes it exists mainly because no general end-of-config signal currently exists in SNMP, and it defaults to the value 1. For example, after writing several other tunnel-related OIDs to configure an IPv6 tunnel endpoint, a management script would set this object last to tell the device that configuration transaction is complete.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.122.12.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RADLAN-TUNNEL-MIB::rlTunnelIPv6EndConfig

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.122.12.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RADLAN-TUNNEL-MIB::rlTunnelIPv6EndConfig.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.122.12.2.1 i <value>
