pwEnetPwVlan

Module: PW-ENET-STD-MIB

OID (symbolic): PW-ENET-STD-MIB::pwEnetPwVlan

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.180.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: VlanIdOrAnyOrNone

Access: read-create

Description: This object defines the (service-delimiting) VLAN field value on the PW. The value 4095 MUST be used if the object is not applicable, for example, when mapping all packets from an Ethernet port to this PW (raw mode). The value 0 MUST be set to indicate untagged frames (from the PW point of view), i.e., when pwEnetVlanMode equals 'noChange' and pwEnetPortVlan equals 0.

What is pwEnetPwVlan?

This value sets the service-delimiting VLAN tag carried on the pseudowire side of an Ethernet PW, using 4095 when not applicable (such as raw-mode mapping of an entire port) and 0 to indicate untagged frames when pwEnetVlanMode is noChange and pwEnetPortVlan is 0. An admin configures this to control what VLAN tag, if any, the PW encapsulation applies toward the packet-switched network. For example, setting pwEnetPwVlan to 100 tags all frames sent across this pseudowire with VLAN 100 on the PSN side.
