ptopoConnLastVerifyTime

Module: PTOPO-MIB

OID (symbolic): PTOPO-MIB::ptopoConnLastVerifyTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.79.1.1.1.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeStamp

Access: read-only

Description: If the associated value of ptopoConnIsStatic is equal to 'false(2)', then this object contains the value of sysUpTime at the time the conceptual row was last verified by the agent, e.g., via reception of a topology protocol message, pertaining to the associated remote chassis and port.

If the associated value of ptopoConnIsStatic is equal to 'true(1)', then this object shall contain the value of sysUpTime at the time this entry was last activated (i.e., ptopoConnRowStatus set to 'active(1)').

What is ptopoConnLastVerifyTime?

This read-only TimeStamp reports, per its source description, the value of sysUpTime when this connection entry was last confirmed — for dynamic entries, the last time a topology protocol message verified it, and for static entries, the time the row was last activated. Admins use this to judge how current a piece of topology information is, distinguishing a freshly re-verified neighbor relationship from one that hasn't been reconfirmed in a long time. For example, a dynamic entry with a LastVerifyTime far in the past relative to current sysUpTime would suggest the neighboring device may no longer be reachable via the discovery protocol, even though the entry hasn't yet aged out.
