echoTestPeriodicNoResponseEventIndex

Module: PROBE-MIB

OID (symbolic): PROBE-MIB::echoTestPeriodicNoResponseEventIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.6.1.6.2.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The index of the eventEntry in the RMON MIB that is used whenever the value of echoTestPeriodicLastEchoStatus changes to response_timed_out(3). The eventEntry identified by a particular value of this index is the same as identified by the same value of the eventIndex object. If there is no corresponding entry in the eventTable, then no association exists. In particular, if this value is zero, no associated event will be generated, as zero is not a valid event index.

What is echoTestPeriodicNoResponseEventIndex?

Points to the RMON eventEntry that fires when this periodic test's status transitions to response-timed-out(3); zero means no notification is generated for that transition, letting an admin wire up a trap for a host that stops responding.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.6.1.6.2.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PROBE-MIB::echoTestPeriodicNoResponseEventIndex

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.6.1.6.2.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PROBE-MIB::echoTestPeriodicNoResponseEventIndex.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.6.1.6.2.1.8.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> echoTestPeriodicNoResponseEventIndex.1
