currentUtilization

Module: PROBE-MIB

OID (symbolic): PROBE-MIB::currentUtilization

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.6.1.5.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: NOTE: Because, this variable has been obsoleted by the currentUtilizationTable, it will be deprecated in a future firmware release. Applications should migrate to the new MIB variable as soon as possible.

The best estimate of the mean physical layer network utilization on the monitor's physical interface during the previous number of seconds defined by currentUtilizationPeriod. The units of this object are hundredths of a percent. Its value will normally be in the range (0..10000). A value of all 1's means that a full currentUtilizationPeriod has not passed since either monitor startup or the last time currentUtilizationPeriod was changed. On a multi-interface probe, this value applies only to interface index 1. Refer to currentUtilizationTable in this document for the current utilization value for the other interfaces on a multi- interface probe.

What is currentUtilization?

Deprecated single-interface utilization reading, superseded by the currentUtilizationTable; reports the mean physical-layer network utilization over the last currentUtilizationPeriod seconds, in hundredths of a percent (0-10000), with all-1s meaning a full period hasn't yet elapsed since startup or a period change.
