curUtilTransmit

Module: PROBE-MIB

OID (symbolic): PROBE-MIB::curUtilTransmit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.6.1.5.1.7.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The best estimate of the mean physical layer network utilization on the monitor's physical interface during the previous number of seconds defined by curUtilPeriod for this entry in the table. The units of this object are hundredths of a percent. Its value will normally be in the range (0..10000). A value of all 1's means that a full curUtilPeriod for this entry in the table has not passed since either monitor startup or the last time curUtilPeriod was changed.

For a LAN interface with the exception of the Fast Ethernet LanProbe option 201, this value should be zero. For the Fast Ethernet LanProbe option 201, a WanProbe or ATMProbe, this value should reflect the network traffic on the receive wires/cable.

What is curUtilTransmit?

Intended to report the mean transmit-direction network utilization on this interface. Note: the source MIB's DESCRIPTION for this object is copy-pasted verbatim from curUtilReceive and literally still says "receive wires/cable," which is a documentation bug in the MIB; based on the object name and table position, the real meaning is the transmit-side counterpart to curUtilReceive.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PROBE-MIB::curUtilTransmit

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.6.1.5.1.7.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PROBE-MIB::curUtilTransmit.1
