alertConfiguration

Module: PRESLEY-MIB

OID (symbolic): PRESLEY-MIB::alertConfiguration

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.10.23.3.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Configuration of Alert LED Condition. For Threshold Conditions this can be High, Medium, Low or Disabled. For State Conditions it is Enabled or Disabled. For Latched Conditions it is Enabled, Disabled, or if the Condition is Active the additional option of Acknowledge.

What is alertConfiguration?

This read-write value sets how this row's Alert LED condition is configured to behave, using values like enabled(1), disabled(2), or for threshold conditions high(3)/medium(4)/low(5), plus acknowledge(6) to clear a latched alert. An admin writes to it to control which conditions light the Alert LED and at what severity, or to acknowledge a latched condition and turn the LED off. For example, setting alertConfiguration to high(3) on the networkUtilization row means the Alert LED will only activate once utilization crosses the high threshold (over 80%) rather than the medium or low thresholds.
