What is pimStarGUpstreamNeighborType?
This object specifies the address family type (IPv4, IPv6, or unknown) of the upstream PIM neighbor for a particular (*,G) multicast group entry. It identifies whether the upstream path to the multicast source uses IPv4 or IPv6 addressing, or if the neighbor is not yet determined. Multicast network engineers examine this to verify correct neighbor relationships in PIM routing trees.
