Description:
If pimStarGIAssertState is 'iAmAssertLoser', this is the metric preference of the route to the RP advertised by the assert winner; otherwise, this object is zero.
What is pimStarGIAssertWinnerMetricPref?
This read-only value reports the route metric preference advertised by the PIM assert winner when this router has lost an assert election for a group. The metric preference is a priority value indicating the cost of reaching the Rendezvous Point via the winning router's path. Operators check this value to understand which multicast source is currently preferred for a group and diagnose unexpected multicast forwarding behavior.
