What is pimOutAsserts?

This counter records the total number of PIM Assert messages sent by this router to resolve multicast forwarding conflicts. Assert messages are used in PIM sparse-mode to determine which router should forward multicast traffic when multiple routers send traffic upstream. Operators monitor this metric to diagnose multicast routing disputes and convergence behavior.
