Description: The metric preference advertised by the DF Winner, or zero if there is currently no DF.
What is pimBidirDFElectionWinnerMetricPref?
This object reports the metric preference value advertised by the Designated Forwarder (DF) that won the election in a PIM Bi-directional multicast distribution tree. A higher metric preference value indicates better path quality for multicast forwarding. An operator would monitor this value to understand which router is acting as the forwarder and to verify that the best router was elected for the multicast tree.
