What is switchTemperature?

switchTemperature reports the overall internal temperature of the switch chassis as an integer value. Admins monitor this to catch cooling failures or overheating conditions before they cause thermal shutdown or hardware damage. For example, a switchTemperature reading climbing toward 80 in a device normally running around 40 would indicate a fan or airflow problem worth investigating.
