What is sfpIndex?

sfpIndex is the table index identifying which physical interface port an sfpstatusTable row's SFP transceiver data belongs to. Admins use it to correlate a given SFP's temperature, voltage, and power readings to the exact port it plugs into on the switch. For example, sfpIndex 24 would identify the transceiver diagnostics row for port 24 on the switch.
