pethPsePortPowerIdPairs

Module: PETH-MIB

OID (symbolic): PETH-MIB::pethPsePortPowerIdPairs

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.7.20.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Describes or controls the pairs in use. If the value of pethPsePortPowerIdpairsControl is true, thisobject is writable. A value of signal(1) menas that the signal pairs only are in use. A value of spare(2) means that the spare pairs only are in use. A value of both(3) means that both the signal and the spare pairs are in use.

What is pethPsePortPowerIdPairs?

This value describes or, when pethPsePortPowerIdPairsControl is true, controls which wire pairs the port uses to deliver PoE power: signal(1) pairs only, spare(2) pairs only, or both(3). An admin adjusts this on hardware that supports alternative power-pair modes to match the cabling scheme in use, such as older 10/100 cabling where spare pairs are otherwise unused. Setting pethPsePortPowerIdPairs to both(3) enables the port to source power over both pair sets simultaneously where supported.
