Description: The parameter upstreamLineMirrorVlanId is used to enable/disable mirroring of all upstream traffic on the specific line. When mirroring is enabled, upstream traffic from all PVC's in the line is replicated (before service VLAN tag is added) and tagged with the VLAN specified with upstreamLineMirrorVlanId. The traffic is then forwarded on the uplink interface of the IP DSLAM.

To enable upstream traffic mirroring for a line, set upstreamLineMirrorVlanId to a value in the range 0x0000..0x0FFF, to disable upstream traffic mirroring set upstreamLineMirrorVlanId to 0xFFFF.

The value configured with upstreamLineMirrorVlanId will survive a restart of the IP DSLAM.

What is upstreamLineMirrorVlanId?

This enables or disables mirroring of all upstream subscriber traffic on a specific DSLAM line by setting a VLAN ID to tag the mirrored copies with, using the special value 0xFFFF to disable mirroring entirely. Administrators use this to send a live copy of a subscriber's upstream traffic to a monitoring or lawful-intercept system for troubleshooting or compliance, tagging the mirrored traffic distinctly so it can be identified on the uplink. For example, setting this object to 100 on a line experiencing complaints would mirror that line's upstream PVC traffic, tagged with VLAN 100, out the DSLAM's uplink for capture and analysis, and this setting survives a device restart.
