ipmiOverLAN

Module: PDU-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDU-MIB::ipmiOverLAN

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.13742.4.1.1.58

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnabledDisabledEnumeration

Access: read-write

Description: IPMI over LAN Mode: either enabled or disabled. It is strongly recommended that SNMPv3 be used to change the mode; SNMPv2c may also be used, but is not recommended. If SNMPv3 is used, then the change can be made only by users belonging to the Admin group. Changing the mode will result in a reboot of the PX.

What is ipmiOverLAN?

Whether IPMI over LAN is enabled or disabled. Changing this reboots the PDU, and it is strongly recommended to make the change over SNMPv3 as an Admin-group user rather than the less secure SNMPv2c.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13742.4.1.1.58
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PDU-MIB::ipmiOverLAN

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13742.4.1.1.58.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PDU-MIB::ipmiOverLAN.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.13742.4.1.1.58.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ipmiOverLAN.1
