pdnMgmtIpAdminStatus

Module: PDN-MGMT-IP-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-MGMT-IP-MIB::pdnMgmtIpAdminStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.6.21.1.1.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The status of the IP Port (interface).

Data flow through the IP Port is possible only if this object is set to 'up'.

When this object is set to 'down', the interface SHALL be torn down and all routes (associated with this port) be purged automatically, until the port is set to 'up' state again.

What is pdnMgmtIpAdminStatus?

This object controls whether the management IP port is administratively up or down; data flow is only possible when up, and setting it to down tears down the interface and purges all associated routes until it is brought back up. Admins use this to fully disable or re-enable the management interface, which is a more disruptive action than just changing addressing since it purges routes too. For example, an admin temporarily isolating a management port for security reasons would set pdnMgmtIpAdminStatus to down(2), knowing this purges its routes until it's set back to up(1).

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.6.21.1.1.1.10.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PDN-MGMT-IP-MIB::pdnMgmtIpAdminStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.6.21.1.1.1.10.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:
