pdnLinkFailureSfBerThreshold
Module: PDN-LINK-FAULT-MGMT-MIB
OID (symbolic): PDN-LINK-FAULT-MGMT-MIB::pdnLinkFailureSfBerThreshold
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.40.1.1.3.1.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: This object allows users to configure the threshold for the Signal Failure Bit Error Rate (Sf).
The negated value of this number is used as the exponent of 10 for computing the threshold value for the Bit Error Rate (BER). For example, a value of 5 indicates a BER threshold of 10^-5.
What is pdnLinkFailureSfBerThreshold?
This read-write Integer32 (3-5), indexed per interface, sets the exponent used to compute the bit error rate threshold that defines a Signal Failure condition, where the configured value n yields a BER threshold of 10^-n. Because the valid range (3-5) is looser than the Sd threshold's range (5-9), Sf represents a coarser, more severe error rate than Sd. For example, setting pdnLinkFailureSfBerThreshold to 3 declares a signal failure once the bit error rate reaches roughly 1 error per thousand bits (10^-3), a much worse condition than the typical Sd threshold.

Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.40.1.1.3.1.7.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PDN-LINK-FAULT-MGMT-MIB::pdnLinkFailureSfBerThreshold.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.40.1.1.3.1.7.1 i <value>
