pdnLinkFailureLOFPeriodBeforeSwitching

Module: PDN-LINK-FAULT-MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-LINK-FAULT-MGMT-MIB::pdnLinkFailureLOFPeriodBeforeSwitching

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.40.1.1.3.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows users to configure the amount of time a LOF condition shall exist on this uplink before initiating a switchover.

Switchover due to LOF condition on this uplink will not be valid if any of the APS (Automatic Protection Switching) is enabled.

What is pdnLinkFailureLOFPeriodBeforeSwitching?

This read-write Integer32 (0-300 seconds), indexed per interface, sets how long a Loss of Frame (LOF) condition must persist on the primary uplink before the device switches over to the alternate link; like the LOS timer, it is inactive whenever APS is enabled. Admins configure this to control how tolerant the device is of transient framing errors before triggering a failover. For example, a value of 10 seconds means the primary link must stay out of frame sync for a full 10 seconds before pdnLinkFailureLOFPeriodBeforeSwitching triggers the switchover.
