Module: PDN-IFEXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): PDN-IFEXT-MIB::pdnIfExtTestConfigNearTimer
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.6.12.2.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object is used to specify a near end timer primarily used as a timeout for a local loopback. The time is in seconds.
What is pdnIfExtTestConfigNearTimer?
A read-write integer, in seconds, setting a timeout for a locally-initiated loopback test on this interface. This controls how long a near-end, locally initiated, loopback stays active before automatically timing out and reverting to normal operation, preventing a test loopback from being accidentally left in place and disrupting service. An admin running a brief diagnostic loopback might rely on this timer, set to 60 seconds, to ensure the interface automatically returns to normal service if they forget to manually end the test.
