pdnYCableSelection
Module: PDN-ENTITY-REDUNDANCY-MIB
OID (symbolic): PDN-ENTITY-REDUNDANCY-MIB::pdnYCableSelection
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.41.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object is used to configure the Y-cable presence used for tx and rx of data between the redundant units.
When the selection is enabled (1), it indicates that the tx and rx signals of each redundant unit are sharing a single common pair to tx and rx data to the network.
When the selection is disable (2), it indicates that the tx and rx signals of each redundant unit has a separate (independant) pair to tx and rx data to the network.
What is pdnYCableSelection?
This read-write enumerated value configures whether the redundant units share a single Y-cable pair for transmit and receive data to the network, enabled(1), or each has its own independent pair, disabled(2). Admins set this to match the physical cabling used between the redundant units and the network, since it affects how failover traffic is carried. For example, an admin sets this to enabled(1) when the redundant modules are physically wired through a shared Y-cable to a single network connection.
