pdnDot1qVlanStaticSecureModeStatus

Module: PDN-DOT1QEXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-DOT1QEXT-MIB::pdnDot1qVlanStaticSecureModeStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.39.1.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This is objects configure secure mode status for the selected VLAN. The secure VLAN mode implies that the users on this VLAN cannot talk to users on a different VLAN. This setting also validates the configuration of the next three objects in this table. If the pdnDot1qVlanStaticSecureModeStatus is disabled non of the other three objects configurations apply.

What is pdnDot1qVlanStaticSecureModeStatus?

This read-write value enables or disables 'secure VLAN' mode for the selected VLAN, which, per the source DESCRIPTION, prevents users on this VLAN from communicating with users on a different VLAN, and gates whether the next three related objects in this table take effect. An admin enables it to isolate a VLAN's traffic from other VLANs at this layer, and must enable it before configuring the associated proxy ARP, uplink port, and default next-hop-router settings, since those are all ignored while this is disabled. For example, an admin isolating a guest VLAN would set this to enable(1) first, then configure the related secure-mode settings, since none of them apply while this object remains disabled.
