pdnDot1qVlanStaticOuterDefaultPriority
Module: PDN-DOT1QEXT-MIB
OID (symbolic): PDN-DOT1QEXT-MIB::pdnDot1qVlanStaticOuterDefaultPriority
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.39.1.1.1.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: When VLAN stacking (Q in Q) is desired, this object contains the default value of the priority bits in the 802.1q VLAN outer tag for unknown unicast, broadcast and multicast packets.
For known unicast traffic, the inner VLAN tag priority is copied to the outer tag priority.
If pdnDot1qVlanStaticOuterTag (above) is zero (0) this object is ignored.
What is pdnDot1qVlanStaticOuterDefaultPriority?
This read-write value, from 0 to 7 and defaulting to 0, sets the default 802.1p priority bits placed in the outer VLAN tag for unknown unicast, broadcast, and multicast traffic when VLAN stacking is enabled; for known unicast traffic the inner tag's priority is copied to the outer tag instead, and this object is ignored entirely if pdnDot1qVlanStaticOuterTag is zero. An admin sets it to control the QoS priority marking applied to the outer, provider-facing tag for non-unicast traffic types on a stacked VLAN. For example, an admin wanting broadcast traffic on a QinQ-wrapped VLAN to receive a specific priority level in the provider network would configure this default priority accordingly, once an outer tag is set.
