pdnDot1dBasePortOuterPriority

Module: PDN-BRIDGE-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-BRIDGE-EXT-MIB::pdnDot1dBasePortOuterPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.58.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: When VLAN stacking (Q in Q) is desired for untagged packets on a port, this object contains the value of the priority bits in the 802.1q VLAN outer tag. If pdnDot1dBasePortOuterTag (above) is zero (0) this object is ignored.

What is pdnDot1dBasePortOuterPriority?

This read-write value sets the 802.1p priority bits carried in the outer VLAN tag when VLAN stacking (Q-in-Q) is active on this port. An admin uses it to assign a class-of-service marking to all stacked traffic from a port, but the setting is ignored whenever pdnDot1dBasePortOuterTag is 0 and stacking is disabled. Setting the priority to 5 marks voice-sensitive subscriber traffic for higher-priority queuing once it's wrapped in the outer tag.
