pdnDot1dBasePortMaxFdbEntries

Module: PDN-BRIDGE-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-BRIDGE-EXT-MIB::pdnDot1dBasePortMaxFdbEntries

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.58.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

What is pdnDot1dBasePortMaxFdbEntries?

This read-write value sets the maximum number of entries allowed in this bridge port's MAC forwarding database. An admin caps it to bound memory used per port or to limit how many MAC addresses can be learned behind a given port, which is useful for restricting rogue switches or curbing MAC flooding. Setting it to 100 caps that port's forwarding table to 100 learned MAC addresses; leaving it at the special value 0 removes the limit entirely.
