pdnAdslSeltCmd

Module: PDN-ADSL-SELT-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-ADSL-SELT-MIB::pdnAdslSeltCmd

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.6.31.1.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object corresponds to the list of test operations that can be performed.

The possible values are noOp(1), start(2), stop(3), or clearResults(4).

Reading this object will always return the value 'noOp (1)'.

If SELT test is already running on an ADSL interface, the only possible test command is 'stop (1)'.

The clearResults(4) command clears test results by removing and entry in the pdnAdslSeltLcTable or the pdnAdslSeltLnfTable. After the execution of this command, the appropriate value for pdnAdslSeltStatus would be resultsCleared(5).

What is pdnAdslSeltCmd?

This is a command object used to start, stop, or clear the results of a SELT line-diagnostic test on an ADSL interface. Admins write to this object to trigger the actual test action, noting that reading it always returns noOp and that stop is the only valid command while a test is already running. To diagnose a suspect DSL line, an admin sets pdnAdslSeltCmd to start(2) to kick off the SELT test on that interface.
