Description: State of the Card Lock switch of the associated Hot Plug slot. The Card Lock manages the Mechanical Detect Input 0 (DETECT0# pin) : 1 - The state of the card lock switch can't be determined 2 - The adapter card is locked securely -> the power can be applied 3 - The card lock is removed The power must be powered down : - if not (case of a surprise removal) -> an emergency shutdown of the Hot Plug slot is activated -> the power will not be applied.

What is siePciHotPlugSlotCardLockSwitch?

This read-only enumerated value reports the state of the mechanical card lock switch (DETECT0# pin) for the slot: unknown(1), cardLockSwitchOn(2) meaning the card is securely locked and power can be applied, or cardLockSwitchOff(3) meaning the lock is removed and power must not be applied, potentially triggering an emergency shutdown on a surprise removal. Admins monitor this to detect when a card has been physically unlatched, which can trigger automatic safety shutdown of that slot. For example, an unexpected transition to cardLockSwitchOff(3) while the slot state still shows on(2) would alert an admin to a card being unlatched during live operation.
