pgoamLoopbackStatus

Module: PAIRGAIN-ATMTEST-MIB

OID (symbolic): PAIRGAIN-ATMTEST-MIB::pgoamLoopbackStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.927.1.9.9.1.2.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Access: read-only

Description: Set to null (1) when there is no status to report. Set to inProgress (2) as soon as the first OAM loopback cell is sent. Set to completed (3) when all the OAM loopback cells in this test sequence have been responded to or timed out. Set to aborted (4) when the OAM loopback test is aborted by setting pgoamLoopBackEntryStatus to notInService. Set to failed (5) when the OAM loopback cells in this test sequence were timed out, not sent, or not returned.

Set to expired (6) 5 minutes after the operation is aborted , completed or failed. When the Status is Expired, the next set operation will automatically delete this entry.

What is pgoamLoopbackStatus?

This read-only enumerated value reports the current phase of an OAM loopback test: null(1) before anything starts, inProgress(2) once sending begins, completed(3) once all cells are answered or timed out, aborted(4) if manually stopped, failed(5) if cells timed out or were never sent or returned, and expired(6) five minutes after finishing, at which point the entry auto-deletes on the next set. Admins poll it to know when a test they initiated has finished and whether it succeeded. A status of failed(5) tells the admin the loopback test did not get valid responses and the PVC likely has a connectivity problem.
