linkRxNoBufs

Module: PACKETEER-MIB

OID (symbolic): PACKETEER-MIB::linkRxNoBufs

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2334.2.1.2.2.1.32

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: The count of packets that were dropped due to unavailable buffers.

What is linkRxNoBufs?

Counts packets dropped on receipt because no internal buffer was available to hold them. A nonzero and growing value here indicates the PacketShaper itself is resource-starved for this link's traffic volume, which is a hardware/capacity concern rather than a shaping-policy one.
