Description: Trigger defines the max deviation allowed from the mean, without an alarm being generated. Once an alarm is generated, it is not cleared until the input optical power falls back within 90% of the trigger value from the mean. Please also refer to ons15501InputOpticalPowerMean above.
What is ons15501InputOpticalPowerTrigger?
This OID sets the maximum allowed deviation, in tenths of a dB (0-200), from the configured input-power mean before an alarm is raised; the alarm then persists until the reading returns within 90% of this trigger value. An admin tunes this threshold to control how sensitive the input-power alarm is to normal fluctuations.
