Category: CPE/Router

Description: Provides system-level hardware and software inventory, status, and diagnostic objects for OneAccess CPE routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ONEACCESS-SYS-MIB?

ONEACCESS-SYS-MIB is a OneAccess enterprise MIB providing system-level hardware and software inventory, status, and diagnostic objects for OneAccess customer-premises equipment (CPE) routers. It exposes general categories including hardware identity/manufacturing data, boot/BSP firmware versions, memory utilization, per-core CPU usage on multicore hardware, and crash-log/diagnostic history. This is squarely a device health-monitoring MIB: it lets an operator track memory exhaustion via oacSysMemoryFree/oacSysMemoryTotal, confirm boot and BSP software versions after an upgrade, check what caused the last restart via oacSysStartCaused, and review secure crash-log counts to spot recurring software faults. It is a self-contained enterprise MIB with no strong stated dependency on external standard MIBs beyond general SNMP conventions. It is typically deployed on OneAccess CPE routers used by service providers and enterprises for managed WAN/branch-office connectivity, and administrators can download the ONEACCESS-SYS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser for reference during remote health monitoring.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ONEACCESS-SYS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • OneAccess CPE router (branch-office/WAN access device)
  • OneAccess routers

Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll oacSysMemoryFree, oacSysMemoryAllocated, and oacSysMemoryTotal to compute memory utilization and detect a leak trending toward exhaustion, and check the CPU usage table added for multicore hardware to spot a core pegged at high load. Checking oacSysStartCaused after an unexpected outage would reveal whether the restart was a crash, watchdog reset, or manual reload, while oacSysSecureCrashlogCount rising over time would flag a recurring software fault worth escalating, and oacSysIMSysMainBSPVersion/oacSysIMSysMainBootVersion confirm what firmware is currently running.

What Can Be Monitored

  • memory free/allocated/total
  • per-core CPU usage (multicore)
  • last restart cause
  • secure crash-log count
  • boot/BSP firmware version
  • hardware manufacturing identity
