Module: OMNITRON-POE-MIB

OID (symbolic): OMNITRON-POE-MIB::ostPoEPortHeartbeatDeferTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.7342.15.2.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This object is the PoE heartbeat PSE PD heartbeat transmission delay interval in seconds after the port has been reenabled. The delay is the amount of time after power has been applied before the heartbeat function starts and hence the detection of heartbeat errors.

What is ostPoEPortHeartbeatDeferTime?

This object sets how many seconds the switch waits after PoE power is re-applied to a port before it starts sending heartbeat pings and counting heartbeat errors. Administrators use this defer time to give a powered device, like a camera, time to boot up before the switch begins judging its responsiveness. Setting it to 60 seconds prevents the switch from falsely flagging a heartbeat error while the device is still powering on.
