drr4xvalueTrippointMode

Module: OMNI-gx2drr4x-MIB

OID (symbolic): OMNI-gx2drr4x-MIB::drr4xvalueTrippointMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1166.6.1.2.14.3.2.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The value of this object is the current value of trip point mode. There are three possible value: 1-off, 2-alarm_only, 3-alarm&switch.

If module input optical power is higher than the preset trippoint value, no operational difference for these three modes.

If module input optical power is less than the preset trippoint value, 1) When trippoint mode is OFF, no trippoint alarm will be generated and RF output impedance will stay normal as low. 2) When tripoint mode is ALARM_ONLY, trip_point alarm will be generated when the input optical power lower than the preset trippoint level but RF output impedance will stay normal as low. 3) When trippoint mode is ALARM_SWITCH, trip point alarm will be generated and RF output impedance will switch to abnorml

What is drr4xvalueTrippointMode?

Sets/reports the trip-point mode: 1=off (no alarm or RF switching when optical power drops below the trip point), 2=alarm_only (raises an alarm but keeps RF output normal), 3=alarm&switch (raises an alarm and also switches RF output to the abnormal/high-impedance state). An admin uses this to decide whether a low-optical-power condition should just alert or also force a protective RF switch.
