Description: The persistence of the entry to be created:

permanent(1) - Address is not aged out. Additionally, if the address is seen as a source on a different port for this VLAN, the frame is filtered and the filter event is counted. Static address entries are stored in non-volatile memory and are restored to the address table following each system reset.

deleteOnReset(2) - Indicates that the entry is not to be aged, however the entry is not stored in non-volatile memory. Therefore, when the device is reset, the entry will not be restored.

deleteOnTimeout(3) - Indicates that the entry is to be aged by the normal aging process.

What is lanBlazer7000L2AddressControlPersistence?

Chooses the aging behavior of the static entry being created: permanent(1) never ages and survives reboot (and triggers a filter/alarm if the MAC later appears on a different port in the same VLAN), deleteOnReset(2) never ages but is lost on reboot, and deleteOnTimeout(3) ages out normally like a dynamically learned entry. An admin typically picks permanent(1) when pinning a critical server's MAC to a port for both forwarding efficiency and move-detection security.
