Description: This attribute indicates the type of the address at the destination interface. Provisioned addresses are assigned a type of primary or alternate; ATM routing will try primary routes and then the alternate routes if none of the primary routes succeed. The type registered is used for dynamic addresses registered through ILMI. The type default is used for Soft PVC addresses. The type ebr indicates addresses used by Edge Based Rerouting.

What is mscARtgDnaDestInfoType?

Classifies how this destination address was learned: primary/alternate for provisioned addresses (routing tries primary routes first, falling back to alternates), registered for addresses learned dynamically via ILMI, default for Soft PVC addresses, or ebr for addresses used by Edge Based Rerouting. An admin uses this to understand why the switch picked a particular destination when troubleshooting call setup.
