tdmaCsDscLl0BufferSize

Module: Nortel-Magellan-Passport-TdmaIwfMIB

OID (symbolic): Nortel-Magellan-Passport-TdmaIwfMIB::tdmaCsDscLl0BufferSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.562.2.4.1.135.5.10.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This attribute specifies the maximum size of the DSC logical link 0 control buffer. Changes impact the amount of memory used (more memory is used when increasing the attribute). The gain in performance obtained from the selection of a larger buffer size may be offset by less memory being available. The customer might wish to increase the buffer size when a degradation in throughput of the system is seen.

What is tdmaCsDscLl0BufferSize?

Sets the maximum size of the DSC logical-link-0 control buffer. This attribute is marked obsolete in the MIB. Raising it uses more device memory in exchange for headroom that can help if throughput is degrading; an admin would only touch this when troubleshooting a specific throughput complaint, weighing the memory cost against the gain.
