What is commonNEStatus?
A one-byte bitmask reporting the NE's status, with individual bits for channel request, contention/normal, contention/current, major alarms, and minor alarms conditions, per the MIB's own bit-layout description. Admins check the major/minor alarm bits here as a quick top-level health summary for the NE.
