Module: NMS-REMOTE-PING-MIB

OID (symbolic): NMS-REMOTE-PING-MIB::waitTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11606.10.2.221.1.1.2

Description: Timeout in seconds to wait for each reply.

What is waitTime?

This value sets the timeout, in seconds, that the device waits for each ping reply before considering that individual packet timed out. Admins tune it based on expected network latency, shortening it for LAN tests and lengthening it for high-latency WAN paths. For example, setting waitTime to 5 gives each ping packet up to 5 seconds to receive a reply before it's marked as a timeout.
