This read-only Percent value reports the fraction of total device memory allocated to message buffers, used for inter-process or protocol message queuing. Admins use it to see how much of the device's memory budget is set aside for message handling relative to other regions like the heap or firmware image. For example, a device handling heavy routing-protocol churn might show a larger nmsMemoryPoolMessageBufferRatio than an otherwise identical device with a stable topology.
