What is onuMacAddressIndex?

onuMacAddressIndex is a MacAddress value that holds the ONU's MAC address, described in the MIB as the unique identifier for that ONU, and is a column in the LLID-to-ONU binding table. Admins use it to confirm exactly which physical ONU device is bound to a given LLID/EPON port entry, since the MAC address is the authoritative way to distinguish one ONU from another. For example, an admin troubleshooting a customer's fiber drop would read this value to verify the ONU's MAC address matches the unit installed at the premises.
