Description: The 32-bit unsigned sum of the LS checksums of the external link-state advertisements con- tained in the link-state database. This sum can be used to determine if there has been a change in a router's link state database, and to compare the link-state database of two routers.
What is nsVrOspfExternLsaCksumSum?
This is the 32-bit unsigned sum of the checksums of all external LSAs in the database, used to detect whether the external LSA set has changed and to compare databases between two routers. Admins mainly use it as a quick database-consistency fingerprint rather than reading the raw number itself.
