What Is NETSCREEN-IP-ARP-MIB?

NETSCREEN-IP-ARP-MIB is a Juniper Networks, Inc. (NetScreen firewall heritage, built on NETSCREEN-SMI) proprietary MIB reporting ARP-cache entries per virtual system. Its objects cover an ARP-aging-on-demand flag, a cache-update action, and an ARP table (index, IP address, MAC address, vsys, ifIndex, state, age, retry count, and packet-queue depth). As a status MIB it lets an administrator confirm ARP-cache entries and pending packet queues per virtual system on a NetScreen (Juniper) firewall. It is deployed on Juniper Networks (NetScreen) firewall appliances. Engineers can download the NETSCREEN-IP-ARP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NETSCREEN-IP-ARP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
