Description: NETGEAR-QOS-ACL-MIB module

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is NETGEAR-QOS-ACL-MIB?

NETGEAR-QOS-ACL-MIB is a NETGEAR enterprise MIB module for the Quality of Service Access Control List (QoS ACL) "Flex" package on NETGEAR managed switches. It exposes configuration data for ACL rules and QoS classification/marking policies used to prioritize or filter traffic flows on the switch. As a configuration-oriented MIB it is mainly used to verify traffic-shaping and access-control policy is correctly provisioned rather than to monitor hardware health, though it is normally deployed alongside NETGEAR system MIBs exposing CPU load, memory, temperature, and fan status. It depends on the switch's underlying QoS/ACL subsystem and is typically layered on top of standard IF-MIB interface objects for per-port policy association. It is used in NETGEAR managed switch deployments where QoS prioritization and traffic filtering are required at the network edge or aggregation layer. Engineers can download the NETGEAR-QOS-ACL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in NETGEAR-QOS-ACL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • NETGEAR managed switch

Monitoring Examples

No object or table names were captured for this module, so specific ACL entries cannot be referenced directly. In general, an administrator would poll the ACL rule and QoS class-map configuration on a NETGEAR switch to confirm a configured rule (e.g., rate-limiting a traffic class) is active and counting matches as expected. An ACL rule showing zero hit count when traffic should be matching it would indicate the policy is misapplied or bound to the wrong interface.

What Can Be Monitored

  • QoS ACL rule configuration
  • traffic classification policy
  • ACL rule status
