agentDhcp6ServerPoolNameCreate

Module: NETGEAR-DHCP6SERVER-PRIVATE-MIB

OID (symbolic): NETGEAR-DHCP6SERVER-PRIVATE-MIB::agentDhcp6ServerPoolNameCreate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.25.2.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: A pool is created by applying write operation on this MIB object and providing a new pool-name. Get operation on this MIB object returns a null-value, as for the purpose of viewing the pool name, the user should perform the traversal of agentDhcp6ServerPoolConfigTable. For this reason the get operation on object agentDhcp6ServerPoolNameCreate becomes insignificant.

What is agentDhcp6ServerPoolNameCreate?

Creates a new DHCPv6 address pool by writing a pool name to this object; a get always returns a null value since viewing existing pool names requires walking agentDhcp6ServerPoolConfigTable instead. This write-only-in-effect design means an admin uses SNMP SET purely as a 'create pool' action, not as a way to read back what was created.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.25.2.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> NETGEAR-DHCP6SERVER-PRIVATE-MIB::agentDhcp6ServerPoolNameCreate

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.25.2.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> NETGEAR-DHCP6SERVER-PRIVATE-MIB::agentDhcp6ServerPoolNameCreate.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.10.25.2.1.1 s <value>
