ipxIfDelay

Module: MSIPX-MIB

OID (symbolic): MSIPX-MIB::ipxIfDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.8.2.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The period of time, in microseconds, that it takes to transmit one byte of data, excluding protocol headers, to a destination on the other end of the interface, if the interface is free of other traffic.

What is ipxIfDelay?

This read-only value, in microseconds, reports how long it takes to transmit one byte of data (excluding protocol headers) across this interface to the far end, assuming no other traffic. Admins use it as a baseline latency figure that IPX routing metrics (ticks) are derived from.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.8.2.1.1.11
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MSIPX-MIB::ipxIfDelay

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.8.2.1.1.11.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MSIPX-MIB::ipxIfDelay.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ipxIfDelay.1
