Module: MPLS-LSR-MIB

OID (symbolic): MPLS-LSR-MIB::mplsXCLabelStackIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.96.1.9.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description:

Primary index into mplsLabelStackTable identifying a stack of labels to be pushed beneath the top label. Note that the top label identified by the out- segment ensures that all the components of a multipoint-to-point connection have the same outgoing label. A value of 0 indicates that no labels are to be stacked beneath the top label.

What is mplsXCLabelStackIndex?

This OID indicates whether additional labels are stacked (layered) beneath the top label in an MPLS packet forwarding entry. A value of 0 means no extra labels are added; other values reference a stack table of extra labels to push. An MPLS network engineer would use this when setting up multi-level label switching for complex traffic engineering or when chaining multiple service overlays.
