mplsDsTeBwConstraintModel

Module: MPLS-DSTE-MIB

OID (symbolic): MPLS-DSTE-MIB::mplsDsTeBwConstraintModel

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.9999.8.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Bandwidth Constraint Model currently in use by this LSR. The bandwidth constraint model used by LSRs in a single DS-TE domain, must be same.

As per the specification of the [DSTE-REQ] draft, the value of the bandwidth constraint model specified in this variable will determine the relationship between the Class-Types and Bandwidth Bandwidth Constraint (defined else where in this MIB).

TBD: Latest [DSTE-REQ] allows the network operator to configure the BC Model on a per-link configuration. Will need to update the MIB to reflect this new requirement.

What is mplsDsTeBwConstraintModel?

Selects which bandwidth-constraint model this router uses for DiffServ-aware Traffic Engineering — 0 for the Russian Dolls Model or 1 for the Maximum Allocation Model; every router in the same DS-TE domain must be set to the same value, since it determines how class-types and bandwidth constraints interact.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.9999.8.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> MPLS-DSTE-MIB::mplsDsTeBwConstraintModel

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.9999.8.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MPLS-DSTE-MIB::mplsDsTeBwConstraintModel.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.9999.8.1.1.1.1 i <value>
